Hello everyone, and welcome back to The Aquarean Podcast. If you’re new here, welcome in. And if you’ve been with me for a while—thank you, truly, from the bottom of my heart. I know I’ve been MIA and a little inconsistent lately, and I just want to say how much I appreciate you continuing to tune in. It means a lot.
OK, some good news: The Aquarean is officially back on a weekly schedule! And I’m thrilled to announce that my dear friend—and now producer and cohost—Jessica Geddis will be joining me. She’s not on this episode, but she’ll be with me starting next week. She’ll be recording with me every week and helping produce the show. Honestly, I can’t thank her enough for shooting her shot (as she put it) and saying, “Hey, I want to help.” Because let’s be real—podcasting solo is a full-time job and not for the faint of heart.
Jess and I are taking this show in a slightly new direction: we’ll be offering spiritual context for worldly chaos. That’s our tagline. It fits. So if you haven’t already, make sure to hit download or follow, because your Wednesdays are about to get a whole lot more Aquarean.
Oh—and I launched my new website! I’d love for you to check it out. I’ve added a new reading: a written astrology report. You can order it on its own, or as a companion to a live reading. Right now, it’s available for love readings, but I’ll soon be adding Career, Soul Growth, and Future reports too. I just incorporated it into a session, and my client loved it. So if you’re looking for clarity, click the link in the show notes and take a peek.
Alright, let’s dive into this New Moon.
This New Moon is happening at 4º Cancer and is conjunct Jupiter, square Neptune, and sextile Mars. But before we get into aspects, let’s anchor in what a New Moon is.
A New Moon happens when the Sun and the Moon meet at the same zodiacal degree. It marks the beginning of a new cycle—a time to plant seeds. That “planting” can take the form of intention-setting and manifestation, or it can be more internal: planting the seed of evolution. The kind of change that isn’t flashy but foundational. The kind that says, “I don’t want to suffer in this same way anymore.” And for this lunation, we’re going to focus on that second form. Evolution.
So, let’s look at the astrology. When I analyze a New Moon, I start with two things: the element and the modality of the sign it’s in. These tell us how the New Moon expresses itself and what it wants to focus on.
Cancer is water and cardinal. That means this New Moon is emotional, intuitive, imaginative, nostalgic—and it wants to begin something. Cardinal signs initiate, but unlike Aries (who starts with instinct), or Libra (who starts with an alliance) or Capricorn (who starts with a plan), Cancer starts by remembering.
In fact, all four cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) look to the past. Why? Because memory becomes their strategy. If I remember what happened, I can avoid being hurt again—or recreate what once felt safe. But this can turn into a feedback loop. The past becomes the compass, and the future just a repetition. That’s why this New Moon invites us to ask: What emotional patterns am I repeating in the name of safety? And is that safety even real anymore?
In other words, this Cancer New Moon is asking us to get honest about what we’re still holding onto emotionally—especially when it comes to love, relationships, our inner child, our sense of belonging, and the ways we self-soothe or self-sabotage.
Now, this New Moon is conjunct Jupiter. That means the emotional terrain we’re entering is big. Feelings might arrive like a tidal wave. This is especially true if your birthday falls between:
- June 21–28
- March 20–27
- September 23–30
- December 22–28
Even if your chart isn’t directly activated, you’ll still likely notice this lunation. Jupiter expands whatever it touches—so whether it’s a long-standing trigger, a certain way you speak to yourself, or a relationship that’s quietly become your emotional prison, Jupiter is turning the volume way up.
The good news? Jupiter is benefic. If you use this lunation wisely—if you sit with the discomfort instead of denying it—you may feel something heavy begin to lift. That could be an old story, a survival strategy, or a belief that used to protect you but now only limits you.
Of course, with every wave of clarity comes a wave of confusion. Enter Neptune, who is squaring this New Moon and Jupiter.
Neptune in a square acts like fog on the windshield. You might feel the truth more than you can articulate it. You might sense a shift but question your grip on reality. Neptune squares test our discernment. They ask, “Are you seeing the whole picture, or just the version that aligns with your fear?”
Here’s where it gets deep: it’s not just about shedding beliefs—it’s about the identity crisis that comes next. Because if I let go of this pain, this pattern, this story... then who am I without it?
And that’s the edge Neptune brings us to. The void between who we were and who we’re becoming. A healed person isn’t someone who’s always happy. A healed person is someone who knows how to hold both confidence and humility. You’ll know a belief is worth keeping when it both stabilizes you and invites your growth.
Luckily, Mars is forming a helpful sextile to this New Moon. That means action is available. The path forward might not be handed to you, but the tools are there—if you’re willing to reach for them. Mars in a sextile says, “The next chapter is waiting. You just have to write it.”
Aries – Wheel of Fortune Reversed
You're planting the seed of acceptance: not everything is meant to be controlled or conquered. The past may have left you spinning, trying to force outcomes or outpace fate. This New Moon invites you to release the grip and trust that your timing is sacred, even when it doesn’t feel lucky.
Taurus – The Emperor
You're planting the seed of mature self-leadership. The old way of relying on external order or proving your strength through stubbornness no longer serves who you've become. You are building inner stability now—one rooted in self-respect, not rigidity.
Gemini – Ace of Pentacles
You're planting a seed in the physical world that reflects your inner transformation. Maybe you've outgrown a pattern of chasing stimulation without grounding, and now you're ready to begin something real. This New Moon is about committing to tangible, nourishing beginnings.
Cancer – Knight of Wands Reversed
You're planting the seed of discernment between passion and escapism. The past may have been filled with impulsive decisions masked as inspiration, but you’ve changed. Now, your energy wants to be focused, sustainable, and aligned with your true desire—not your fleeting fears.
Leo – The Devil
You're planting the seed of liberation. Old habits, toxic attachments, or a need to perform for approval have kept you repeating soul contracts long expired. This New Moon gives you permission to burn the script and write one that reflects your true power—not your shadow’s demands.
Virgo – King of Pentacles
You're planting the seed of embodied worth. You no longer need to prove your value through perfection, productivity, or people-pleasing. This Moon affirms that who you are is already abundant, and your foundation is ready for deeper fulfillment.
Libra – The Fool
You're planting the seed of sacred risk. The past taught you how to weigh every option, but you’ve grown out of indecision. It’s time to leap, not because you know where you’ll land—but because your heart is ready for the journey.
Scorpio – Strength
You're planting the seed of gentle resilience. The past taught you how to survive through control, but now you understand that true power comes from tenderness and self-trust. This New Moon asks you to lead with your inner calm, not your outer armor.
Sagittarius – Five of Swords Reversed
You're planting the seed of reconciliation—with yourself and possibly others. You’re evolving beyond the belief that every disagreement needs a victor. This New Moon is a soft landing where you can drop the sword and pick up understanding.
Capricorn – Three of Cups Reversed
You're planting the seed of authentic connection. You’ve outgrown performative friendships or emotional isolation disguised as independence. Now, you’re ready to create bonds that nourish your spirit—not just your schedule.
Aquarius – Nine of Swords
You're planting the seed of mental peace. The past may have locked you in loops of anxiety, always bracing for what might go wrong. This Moon invites you to believe that rest is safe, and your mind can become a sanctuary—not a battleground.
Pisces – Chariot Reversed
You're planting the seed of aligned movement. You’ve grown past the need to push forward without clarity or compromise your path to match someone else’s. This New Moon asks you to slow down, recalibrate, and let your soul—not your ego—take the wheel.
